Make Sure Your Ejector System is in Good Shape

The sewer system in commercial properties is designed to run mostly off of gravity. Waste travels down through the sewer system, then down the line to either the septic tank or the municipal sewer main. This works pretty well, most of the time, but it does require a certain layout. Namely, it requires that the septic tank or sewer main be downhill from the building’s sewer system.

If any part of the sewer system is downhill from the tank or main, this method obviously isn’t going to work. Buildings in that situation compensate for this by including an ejector system, which pushes sewage uphill to its destination.
